Psychology and Marketing BSc (Hons)
Marketing is a practice that businesses utilise to build and satisfy customer relationships through advertising, promotions and market research. Psychology analyses the mind, focusing on the way it impacts human behaviour through our emotions, memories and thoughts.
Studying marketing through the lens of psychology gives insight into the consumer mind with an understanding of how this psychological knowledge influences and improves marketing methods.
With our British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited psychology and marketing degree, you’ll investigate the workings of the mind and establish how it influences human behavior in relation to marketing. You will develop a full understanding of marketing principles in both theory and practice and merge your understanding of these two fields to gain a greater insight into consumer behaviour. The comprehensive curriculum delves into thought-provoking topics such as cognitive neuropsychology, strategic brand management and social psychology.
In your third year of study, you will apply the combination of your psychology and marketing skills and knowledge within a real work-based situation with our placement year which can be taken in either the UK or abroad.
