This course is aimed at graduates of relevant academic backgrounds, as well as industry practitioners who possess appropriate industry experience. The course focuses on the effective well construction, and aims to develop high levels of professional skills in the key areas of well design, drilling and operations management.
Delivered from the oil capital of Europe, you will benefit from academics teaching on this course, who have a wealth of industry experience, which you will learn from whether you choose to study on-campus or online. The course benefits from several industrial visits and state-of-the-art drilling simulators. PLACEMENTS
Optional, paid, 3-month (summer) or 12-month placements can be undertaken in this course. You will be supported by a dedicated Placements Coordinator within the school who oversees the placement module. You will also be assigned a Placement Supervisor who will carry out regular visits to your placement provider and meet with you and your employer. The confidence and experience you could acquire during a placement will make you more employable and put you one step ahead of the competition when you graduate.
