Because this course is aligned to the professional guidelines set out by The Society of Sports Therapists, you’ll be fully prepared to go into practice as an injury and exercise-based rehabilitation and fitness specialist. You can also progress to roles working in multi-disciplinary or inter-disciplinary healthcare teams.

Your qualification also puts you on the pathway to postgraduate education, including the exciting and innovative masters courses available at Derby. You could consider our MSc Applied Sport and Exercise Science - which also has a psychology pathway, or our MSc Clinical Exercise Science programme.

• 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
• 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

FOR INDIA

• Students with a minimum average of 65% in the Standard XII/Intermediate/Higher Secondary Examination can typically be considered for direct entrance to Bachelor degree programmes
• Students with a minimum score of 60% in the Certificate of General Nursing and Midwifery from State Nursing Boards or Councils can be considered for entrance to the second year of a related degree programme.

English

• Academic or UKVI IELTS no older than 2 years and must meet the requirement of the course of study.
• Cambridge IGCSE English with Grade C
• Completion of UK degree in the UK within the past two years.

For most of our programmes at bachelors degree level and above, you will normally need an IELTS score of between 6.0 and 7.0 with a pre-requisite minimum score in all areas. (speaking, reading, writing and listening). We will accept one of the alternative equivalent qualifications below:

TOEFL iBT Overall score of 79 - 100 (with specific minimum score requirements for each component)

Michigan English Assessment Battery (MELAB)

Cambridge English Scale: B2 – C1
International GCE O Level English Language: Grade C
International GCSE English or English as a Second Language: Grade C
We also accept a number of qualifications from other countries as evidence of English Language proficiency, e.g. WAEC, KCSE or 1119 so please check our international entry requirements for each country.
