PhD Strategy, Operations and Leadership
This group comprises seven academics including experts in Quality Management, Business Performance, Project Management, Strategic Management, Management, Management and Business History, and International Management. Collectively, they are some of the most highly cited global leaders in their fields. The group represents a diverse range of research interests that include Policy and strategy development and organizational change with a particular interest in what people do in the development of strategy:
- Measuring and managing business performance with a view to understanding what makes high performing organisations different and how organisational controls could be optimised to underpin sustainable long term business performance
- Business process management and the use of Lean Six Sigma, quality management and wider business improvement approaches in a wide range of sectors and industries
- Management of strategic projects and strategic management and organisational controls in temporary organisations
- The international political economy of infrastructure systems
- Internet portals, website quality, social networks and the market reach of rural small firms
- Strategic and performance management of SMEs
- Origins, history and cultural practices of hospitality; and philosophical, ethical and cultural underpinnings of contemporary management practices.

PSW Opportunity
- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
?FOR INDIA
- For most of our Masters level programmes we require a good first degree in a relevant subject. From most Indian Universities, this means an overall score of 55% or above.
- We will consider students whose grades are slightly lower than this (52% or above) Universities of Delhi/ Mumbai/ Calcutta/ Madras/ Pune/ Bangalore/ Rajasthan and this will depend on other factors, such as any relevant work experience, the quality of the references you can provide etc.
FOR PAKISTAN
- A four-year bachelors degree in a relevant subject from an HEC recognised institution in Pakistan with 60% or above, will be considered.
FOR NEPAL
- Students holding a bachelors degree of minimum four years duration in a relevant subject would be eligible for Masters level study.
FOR BANGLADESH
- Students with a masters degree following a 3 or 4 year bachelors degree, are eligible to apply. Previous study should be in a relevant subject area and a score of 60% or above is required.
FOR SRI LANKA
- A Bachelors special degree in a relevant subject with 60% or higher.
