What this course is about
The Bachelor of Ministry prepares students for the practice of ministry. It establishes foundations for ministry through the study of scriptures, theological traditions, historical and contemporary contexts. It requires concentrated study in ministry praxis. The Bachelor of Ministry provides a foundation for graduates to understand and articulate their identity and place in the world. It may be possible for students to undertake study in a ministry setting as part of the course.

- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to a course of study an applicant must:
- meet the minimum academic standards set out in the Regulation and
- Determinations applicable to that course; and
- satisfy the English language proficiency requirements of this Policy and any further
- language requirements specific to admission to that course; and
- demonstrate the capacity to complete the course successfully; and
- agree to abide by the University of Divinity Code of Conduct; and
- have attained 18 years of age
The English language test threshold for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate coursework study at the University may be met by one of the following:
- an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) score of at least 6.5 with no individual band under 6.0.
- a written Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL Academic) score of 550 with a Test of Written English (TWE) score of at least 4.5.
- an internet-based TOEFL score of 79 with no less than 21 for Writing, 12 for Listening, 13 for Reading, 18 for Speaking.
- Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) overall score of at least 58 and all PTE communicative skills scores of at least 50.
- equivalent results in an English language test approved by the Academic Board.
