Certificate III in Barbering
Be part of the dynamic men’s grooming industry of Barbering.
In this qualification you will gain the skills and knowledge to be employed as a creative barber, working as part of a team in a Barbering and Hair Salon environment. You will become competent in communicating in the workplace, consulting with clients, recommending products and services, and designing a range of technical, head and face shaving, freehand clipper designs and beard and moustache services. You will build skills and learn to apply discretion. You’ll also be responsible for your own creative design.

CIT is a fully accredited Pivot Point school enabling us to use state of the art resources on campus, off campus and online. Our salons replicate a commercial barber/salon environment – working on clients – which makes the learning journey more enjoyable and practical to barbering clientele.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
