The Department of Classics at Royal Holloway, University of London offers a very wide range of supervision opportunities.

Our core research strengths include theoretically-driven approaches to Classics and Classical reception, Greek and Roman literature and culture, Greek and Roman archaeology (including architecture, archaeobotany and ancient dietary practices, contemporary issues in Classical Archaeology and marine archaeology), Roman history (especially military history and imperialism) and historiography, Greek oratory, law (primarily Athens and the Hellenistic world) and historiography, as well as Greek and Latin literature.
