• An honours year is an investment in your future career opportunities, and allows students to develop a wide range of additional skills that are highly prized by employers in industry and government.
• Honours graduates are recognised as possessing levels of knowledge and skill well beyond those obtained by pass degree graduates.
• The honours program provides you with an opportunity to upskill in the areas of research, analytics and problem solving, communication and presentation.
• As an honours student, you stand out to an employer as having exceptional ability relevant to a variety of careers in the business world.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

• Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
• Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
• Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
• The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

• Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
• Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
• Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
• PhD students can stay upto 4 years

• The minimum entry requirement to the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) is a completed pass degree with a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65 across all units of study attempted, a minimum WAM of 70 in senior units attempted in the discipline relating to the intended specialisation in the Honours degree, and a major in the intended specialisation in the Honours degree. Cognate majors will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
