Bachelor of Science (Honours)
You've done the hard work to complete your degree and are now keen to put it into practice through a research project. The Bachelor of Science (Honours) lets you take that next step. It is only available if you have achieved a GPA of 5 in the second and third years of your Bachelor's degree and have organized your project and a supervisor.
You'll undertake a major research project under the supervision of one of our leading researchers. The degree will be assessed through coursework, research project performance, thesis, and seminar. This is the opportunity to hone your skills and demonstrate your research ability under the eyes of an experienced science professional.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Science (Honours), you must hold:
- a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Biomedical Science, Bachelor of Environmental Science, Bachelor of Forensic Science, or Bachelor of Marine Science degree or an equivalent qualification;
- a GPA of 5.0 over the second and third year of the Bachelor degree.
