Finance and Risk Management MSc
Since the banking crisis, risk managers have been increasingly sought after. Large companies rely on them to advise on appropriate risk-taking, identify and assess threats, and decide how to avoid, reduce or transfer risks.
Our Finance and Risk Management MSc will develop your knowledge of risk management theory at a company, country and international level, investigating contemporary debates and controversies in risk management.
Full-time students also have the option to add work experience to their Masters through a year’s paid placement in industry.
This course is part of our Finance MSc programme. All students complete the same core finance modules, then from the end of the first semester you will be able to tailor the course to your individual career aspirations through the option to specialise in one of five areas.

Moulsecoomb campus
Two miles north of Brighton city centre and the seafront, Moulsecoomb is the largest of our four campuses with more than 8,000 students. Moulsecoomb Place is home to more than 160 students, while others live in nearby Varley Park. There are a number of areas of Brighton that are popular with students, just a short walk, cycle or bus ride away. These include Moulsecoomb, Bevendean, Hollingbury, Elm Grove, Hanover and other suburbs that stretch up the hills on either side of the Lewes Road.

PSW Opportunity
- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Degree and experience
FOR INDIA
- We require applicants to hold a bachelors degree, studied for a minimum of three years, with a GPA of 55% or above from a recognised university
FOR BANGLADESH
- We require either a four-year bachelors degree with a GPA of 2.75 or above or a three-year bachelor degree plus a masters degree from a recognised Bangladeshi university.
FOR SRI LANKA
- We require a four-year honours, professional or special bachelor degree at Second Lower / GPA of 3.0.
FOR NEPAL
- We require a three-year bachelor degree with a GPA of 2.6 / 65% or a four-year degree with a GPA of 2.2 / 60%.
