Information Technology (Top Up) BSc (Hons)

This a one year top-up course which has been designed for those who have completed at least two years of University or Higher Education study in a related subject.

This course aims to equip you with the knowledge and skills required for information systems to help organisations:

You’ll be supported in working with sophisticated software tools to develop information systems for businesses. As well as your technical competence, this course will help you to develop your creativity and imagination. Our aim is to help you gain the knowledge and skills to follow a career in computer-based information systems.

We maintain links with local employers and you will have the support of our University careers service. You will be encouraged to be an independent learner and develop the transferable higher level skills which are in demand from employers.

PSW Opportunity

2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Entry requirements for this course are normally one of the following:

An HND/FdSc qualification in Computing
A Dip HE in a related subject area
A non-honours degree in a related subject area
If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.
