BA (Hons) Business Management

BA (Hons) Business Management is an innovative program that aims to meet the needs of students who wish to pursue a range of careers across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors in Africa. It is offered at the African Leadership College (ALC) as an equivalent of a 4-year undergraduate degree delivered using a transnational education model in collaboration with Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), United Kingdom. Thus, the students have access to the GCU online library with its vast range of e-books and journals; and are awarded a GCU-degree at the end of their studies. Students develop an understanding of the practice of ethical management across a variety of organizational and national contexts by exploring case studies from across the continent and apply business and financial analytical skills in practical simulations. Empowering students to develop higher-order critical thinking skills and engaging with the real-world throughout their education enables them to take on some of Africa’s challenges and find relevant and sustainable solutions. Furthermore, it is happening in Africa’s safest and most education-driven countries. Our students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a diverse culture with historical origins rooted in Asia, Africa, and Europe, all the while enjoying living on a tropical island.
