NURSING (Adult) BSc (Hons)

Nursing is much more than a job. It is a challenging and extremely rewarding vocation that makes a real difference to people’s lives, and registered nurses with the right skills, knowledge and experience for modern-day practice are in high demand. Our exciting and innovative Nursing (Adult) degree course will enable you to deliver and lead on safe, effective and compassionate care for adults with a range of health conditions.

Our adult nursing degree course provides the perfect environment and opportunity for you to get hands-on training and experience. We have outstanding facilities including a replica hospital ward on campus where you can practise and hone your skills, while our network of healthcare contacts will enable you to take on invaluable industry placements in a variety of settings, from NHS trusts to community care.

You will learn from our expert clinical practitioners and develop a strong understanding of human development, key body systems, pharmacology and safe management of medicine, as well as the personal and technical skills needed to deliver compassionate, high-quality care across many different settings. This course is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), enabling you to apply for Registered Nurse status when you complete your degree.

Practice placements are vital for gaining real-life experience and for building your confidence and skills before you finish your course – and they may even lead to a job when you graduate. Our Hired team can help find the ideal placement for you.

Our BSc Adult Nursing course features multiple placements in different environments throughout your studies, ranging in duration from four weeks to 14 weeks.

Participating in care delivered over 24 hours a day and 7 days per week is an integral part of the course, so you will be expected to adopt various shift patterns. Some placements may also be some distance from your home to enable you to experience different settings.

PSW Opportunity

  • 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
  • 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

An overall average of at least 65% in 12th Standard from both State and Central Examination Boards.
Advanced entry to certain undergraduate degree programmes may be possible for students who hold a UK HND or India Diploma in a relevant subject.

To apply for all undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, you will need to sit an approved test in English if it is not your first language. This might include achieving IELTS (Academic or UKVI) of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band, depending on your course requirements.

In addition, we accept a TOEFL iBT (except Home Edition) score of 72, with minimum band scores of Reading 18, Writing 17, Listening 17, and Speaking 20 for undergraduate (BA, BSc) and most postgraduate degrees.

If you are applying for the International Foundation Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism, you will need UKVI IELTS of 5.0 with no less than 4.5 in any band.

IELTS can be taken from the British Council. Please note that the date of your IELTS award must be within two years of your degree/master’s degree start date.
