Master of Laboratory Medicine
The Master of Laboratory Medicine will provide a formal qualification in Laboratory Medicine for students with an undergraduate background in science or health science, and graduates will be suitable for employment as Medical Scientists.
There are various career options open to Medical Scientists, especially in hospital clinical and pathology laboratories, private pathology services, blood transfusion services, veterinary pathology laboratories and public health laboratories. - Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Admission to most postgraduate by coursework courses at the University of Tasmania require qualifications equivalent to an Australian bachelor's degree. Applicants must achieve the required grade in their qualifying studies, and meet any prerequisite subjects to be eligible for an offer.
