The Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology will lead you to eligibility for clinical certification by preparing you to assess, diagnose, and clinically treat people with a variety of communication and swallowing disorders. Our SLP program prepares you to assist, diagnose, and clinically treat people with communication and swallowing disorders. This extensive clinical experience makes our speech-language pathology graduates highly sought-after clinicians.

You'll have the opportunity to work alongside faculty mentors and experienced staff in state-of-the-art facilities. Conduct or assist with research projects that focus on understanding or improving all forms of communication, work with patients ranging from infants to the elderly. Gain hands-on experience in our Speech-Language and Hearing Clinics that serve people in central and northern Michigan.

PSW Opportunity

Duolingo: 100 for regular admissions.
Michigan English Test (MET): A score of 52 is required for regular admission.
International Baccalaureate (IB): A grade of 5 in English at the Higher Level is required for regular admission.
Advanced Placement (AP): A score of 4 on the English Language or English Literature Exams.
General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or General Certificate of Education (GSE): A score of A or B on the English Language Exam.
SAT: Evidence-based Reading and Writing (EBRW) score of 520.
ACT: English score of 21.
ELS Language Center Program: Completion of Level 112 for regular admission.
