Cuisine Basic Certificate
The Cuisine Basic Certificate of Le Cordon Bleu Madrid provides basic knowledge on culinary arts and introduces the student to the world of techniques. From the very first day, the assimilation of the concepts explained during the demonstration classes is reinforced with practice in the kitchen. During the classes, students work in depth on the main cuts, cooking methods and the making of mother sauces.
Progressively, the development of techniques become more complex and the training is complemented with other concepts necessary for the conservation and knowledge of products, as well as the comprehension of current cuisine and its history.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
The necessary documents to apply for a course are the following:
- Signed 'Application form' and 'Admission, enrolment and method of payment policy'.
- ID or passport copy.
- Cover letter stating professional objectives and reasons for choosing Le Cordon Bleu Madrid (300-600 words).
- One photo (passport size).
- Written proof, of any course taken at Le Cordon Bleu;where applicable.
It is an essential prerequisite for students whose mother tongue is different from Spanish or English, to prove appropriate writing and speaking skills in Spanish/English language because all the courses will be taught in Spanish with English translation. The School may require a B2 Level (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, teaching, assessment - CEFR) in Spanish/English language if they seem it appropriate.
