English Plus Uni
English plus Uni is run in conjunction with the Faculties of the University of Wollongong and is for students who have a higher level of English proficiency. It provides an opportunity to study English and to also participate in an academic course to fully experience university life.
You will attend English classes designed to develop a broad range of language and tertiary study skills, whilst auditing one or two university subjects at undergraduate level.
The English component of the course involves informal assessment of language skills based on classroom and homework tasks undertaken. You may also participate in a variety of university assessment tasks, dependent on the subject in which you enrol.
On completion of the program you will have developed
- language skills for study and social interaction
- study skills for tertiary study
- listening skills in social and academic contexts
- fluency in speaking
The course involves 20 hours of tuition per week for 12 or 18 weeks.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
