Bachelor of Advanced Commerce (Honours)

In this course you’ll enjoy personalised education and professional development opportunities right from the start. With only a small cohort of elite students selected to study this degree, you’ll learn alongside ambitious peers and benefit from a strong sense of belonging and independent learning.
You’ll begin your study with a foundational year that will provide you with a solid knowledge base in commerce. You’ll focus on the principles of business acumen, professional practice, leadership and entrepreneurship through the lens of real-world projects and assessments.
In your second year you’ll begin study in your chosen major, developing expertise in a specific field. You’ll also have access to higher level units, which are usually not available until your final year. Early access to these units can help you decide between a research or practical pathway later in your course.
You’ll solidify your learning in your third year with a capstone experience, where you’ll apply your studies in an industry-based unit. Unique to this degree, you’ll be assigned a personal mentor who can help guide your choice on your honours pathway.
In your fourth and final year, you’ll integrate and apply your knowledge and skills through a thesis project or a practical industry experience and supporting project.
Throughout your degree, you’ll learn on industry-standard software, such as social media analytics platforms and LSEG Workspace trading and financial analysis software. You’ll also have access to biometrics for market research and analysis through our Consumer Research Lab.
In pursuing this degree, you’ll acquire a powerful blend of knowledge, technical expertise and research experience, enhancing your life-long learning skills, employability and preparing you for future postgraduate studies.

In close proximity to everything Perth has to offer, it boasts 116 hectares of bold architecture nestled amongst beautifully landscaped gardens. Thousands of students fill the campus grounds every day of semester, creating a vibrant, multicultural atmosphere. Over the past decade, the campus has undergone some major changes, with a variety of stunning modern buildings now interspersed with the original 1960s architecture. The majority of Curtin courses are delivered on this campus.

- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
