Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
This qualification is designed to meet the needs of educators within the early childhood education and care sector. It reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. They support children’s wellbeing, and development in the context of an approved learning framework. Educators use a range of well-developed skills and knowledge using discretion and judgment when carrying out their work in the context of established policies and procedures. They may work independently or under the guidance of others, though in some contexts that guidance may not be on-site.
To achieve this qualification, 160 hours of work-placement must be completed in a regulated children’s education and care services.

- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

- Students must have completed an overseas equivalent of Year 12 or higher qualification.
