Bachelor of Arts in Digital Humanities

The Digital Humanities major is designed to equip students for a rapidly changing twenty-first-century environment. By acquiring both soft and technical skills, students develop a competitive advantage, making them highly desirable in the modern job market. The program combines core elements of a traditional humanities degree with innovative skills in data analysis and artificial intelligence. While completing coursework in history and literature, students conduct original research utilizing cutting-edge tools in AI, machine learning, and data science.

The major offers three concentrations:

Creative Writing – cultivates students’ craft in poetry, prose and instructs them in the mechanics of writing and publication
Humanities – provides a robust offering of upper-division English, History, and Public Policy electives
History – designed for students interested in teaching, law, public service or further graduate studies

PSW Opportunity

Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.

Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).

STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Additional Requirements: International students may need to provide a copy of their valid passport, official transcripts (possibly evaluated), a personal essay, and potentially TOEFL or IELTS scores.
Financial Support: They will also need to provide a financial support statement, such as a bank statement and sponsor letter.
Age: Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the course's beginning.

On the TOEFL exam the minimum score requirement is a 550 on the paper-based test (PBT) or a 90 on the internet based test (iBT).
