CLINICAL EXERCISE SCIENCE MSc
- This course covers three key areas: rehabilitation and training, physical activity and health, and clinical exercise physiology. It will prepare you for a variety of careers within clinical exercise science, including roles in clinical rehabilitation, clinical exercise physiology, health, and wellbeing
- You’ll gain valuable experience in clinical settings and develop your applied skills through a placement
- You'll explore clinically based research and conduct your own research project in an area that interests you
- Our academics are leading experts in clinical exercise science, and there is a thriving community of postgraduate sport and exercise science students here
- If you don't want to take the full masters, you can choose to gain a Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma instead

Job Opportunity Potential
After graduating from this programme, you could apply for a variety of jobs within clinical exercise science — for example, roles in:
- clinical rehabilitation
- clinical exercise physiology
- health, and
- wellbeing
These jobs could be in public or private organisations, and in academic, community and clinical settings.
Some roles in clinical science may require you to take further qualifications or gain accreditation. For example, you may want to become:
- an ACSM-certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist
- an RCCP-registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, or
- a Certified Exercise Practitioner through BASES.
You will also have the skills and knowledge to undertake research-based roles or to move onto a research degree in the biomedical and clinical sciences research area.
PSW Opportunity
- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Bachelors degrees from institutions recognised by NARIC or government recognised institutions
Requirements will vary depending on recognition of institution and scoring system used. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis
A score of 60% is considered comparable to a UK 2:1; a score of 50% is considered comparable to a UK 2:2 plus work experience
For most of our programmes at bachelors degree level and above, you will normally need an IELTS score of between 6.0 and 7.0 with a pre-requisite minimum score in all areas. (speaking, reading, writing and listening). We will accept one of the alternative equivalent qualifications below:
Oxford English Language Level Test (ELLT)
Pearson Test of Academic English
TOEFL iBT Overall score of 79 - 100 (with specific minimum score requirements for each component)
LanguageCert International ESOL SELT B2 – C1
Michigan English Assessment Battery (MELAB)
Michigan Test: Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency in English (ECPE)

International GCE O Level English Language: Grade C
