Master of Computing (Data Analytics)

The Master of Computing (Data Analytics) is committed to developing the next generation of computing professionals who possess broad knowledge and a deep understanding of technical, managerial, and ethical aspects of computing practices.

The data analytics specialisation has a focus on applying cutting edge technologies to deliver data driven insights and intelligence.

This degree is designed for graduates with a computing background who wish to upskill, and graduates without a computing background who wish to enter the booming field of computing.

This course enhances your work readiness skills by incorporating academic learning with practical application, with several subjects featuring embedded Work Integrated Learning.

You will also complete a capstone project, where you will apply theoretical knowledge in practical situations and tackle real-world problems, often provided by our industry partners. On completion, you will be able to work in various roles to enable IT and data-driven innovation, including data analyst, big data specialist, data engineer, data architect, data systems developer, system analyst, software solution architect and developer.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Recognised 3-year Bachelor degree in any area.
Applicants with other qualifications and substantial relevant professional experience may be considered.
