Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

• Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
• Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
• Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
• The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

• Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
• Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
• Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
• PhD students can stay upto 4 years.

The minimum requirements for admission to a Masters (Research) program are:

• a Bachelor Honours Degree with at least Class IIB (AQF Level 8) from an Australian higher education institution; or
• a postgraduate degree (AQF Level 8) incorporating a significant research component with a grade of 5 on the 7-point Griffith University scale and an overall GPA of 5 on the 7-point scale; or
• qualification, or qualification and additional demonstrable experience that is deemed by the Dean, Griffith Graduate Research School to be of a standard comparable to a Bachelor Honours Degree with Class IIB. Refer to section 7.2.5 Establishing Equivalence. 

Variations to the qualifications required for entry to a Masters Degree (Research) program, as detailed above, may be approved by Programs Committee based on the aims of the program  8 Higher Degree Research Policy and will be specified in the program requirements. Refer also to Admission Criteria in section 11.2 of the Postgraduate Qualifications (AQF Level 8 & 9) Policy.
