Creative Writing - BA (Joint Honours)
T??he study of Creative Writing at Cardiff Met forms part of the ?BA Humanities Joint Honours programme? within?? the Cardiff School of Education and Social Policy
The Creative Writing element of your degree will develop your thinking through textual and practical exploration, and equip you with a wide variety of writing skills and methodologies in relation to different genres (fiction, poetry, scriptwriting, creative nonfiction and more).
You will be encouraged to consider textual influence and experiment with different styles. At the core of the degree is your development as a writer and the honing of skills that you can use to find jobs in a variety of creative industries such as publishing, journalism and marketing.
You'll cultivate your individual voice and writing style through revision and editing, and share your writing and thinking with your fellow students in a supportive and evaluative environment. We encourage and support our students to seek publication and to develop a writing portfolio for prospective employers.

- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
For India
- Students with good grades in their Polytechnic / College of Technology Diploma (3- to 4-years in duration).
OR - Students with good grades in their Indian Certificate of Education - awarded on completion of Standard X AND who have completed a recognised Foundation Course.
OR - Students with good grades in their Higher Secondary School Certificates - Indian School Certificate (ISC) / Intermediate Certificate / Higher School Certificate / Higher Secondary Certificate / All India Senior School Certificate / Pre-University Course - awarded on completion of Standard XII
For Bangladesh
- Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Intermediate with GPA 4.0 plus IELTS of 6.0 will be considered for Year 1 entry
- A-Levels or International Baccalaureate
- American High School Diploma with GPA 3.0 (grade B average) plus one of the following:
- SAT 1 combined score of 1800 or above and a 6 score in the essay

- who have completed a recognised Foundation Course.
OR - Students who hold a Diploma in Social Work / Higher National Diploma (HND) / Advanced Diploma in Social Work.
