Management and Leadership - BA (Hons)

The BA (Hons) Management and Leadership degree programme is designed to build and enhance student’s skills and capabilities to become effective future 21st century business leaders and managers.

Employers want all higher education students to enter work with practical management and more importantly leadership skills. This degree most certainly provides this. Students will develop a strong understanding of the strategic and operational context of businesses and SMEs. Their knowledge will be contextualised and employability enhanced, through a strong emphasis on practical, real-world business experience in management and leadership.
This unique and innovative programme focuses on students personal and interpersonal competencies that employers are looking for, these include: self-belief, awareness and motivation, intellectual skills in relation to management and leadership, adaptability, respond to challenges quickly and decisively, adopt a growth mind-set and build resilience.
The degree will enrich students’ knowledge in a range of leadership, management and business areas, including strategy, marketing, finance, human resource management, entrepreneurship and personal development. It will also provide further knowledge around areas such as innovation and creativity, high performing teams, executive coaching and training on emotional intelligence ready to build the next generation of leaders and managers.

Job Opportunity Potential

From the start of the degree students are encouraged to think about career, work and skills. The second year offers further opportunities to gain a compulsory work experience. The work experience module in year 2 (level 5) seeks to offer you real world experience. The work placement officers can assist in finding a suitable placement.

PSW Opportunity

2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

For India

Students with good grades in their Polytechnic / College of Technology Diploma (3- to 4-years in duration).
OR
Students with good grades in their Indian Certificate of Education - awarded on completion of Standard X AND who have completed a recognised Foundation Course.
OR
Students with good grades in their Higher Secondary School Certificates - Indian School Certificate (ISC) / Intermediate Certificate / Higher School Certificate / Higher Secondary Certificate / All India Senior School Certificate / Pre-University Course - awarded on completion of Standard XII

For Bangladesh

Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Intermediate with GPA 4.0 plus IELTS of 6.0 will be considered for Year 1 entry
A-Levels or International Baccalaureate
American High School Diploma with GPA 3.0 (grade B average) plus one of the following:
- SAT 1 combined score of 1800 or above and a 6 score in the essay
- ACT (American College Test) score of 20 or above
- Advanced Placement Tests (Aps) with grade 3 or above in at least two relevant subjects

For Pakistan

Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Intermediate in Pre-Engineering or Pre-Medical stream with 60% pass
Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Intermediate Science/Humanities/Commerce stream plus recognised Foundation Course
A-Levels or International Baccalaureate.
American High School Diploma with GPA 3.0 (grade B average) plus one of the following:
- SAT 1 combined score of 1800 or above and a 6 score in the essay

Bachelor of Arts/Commerce/Science/Technology (two year) with 50% pass

For Sri Lanka

Students with good grades in their Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (Advanced level).

Students with good grades in their Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (Ordinary level) AND
who have completed a recognised Foundation Course.
OR
Students who hold a Diploma in Social Work / Higher National Diploma (HND) / Advanced Diploma in Social Work.

For Nepal

Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Intermediate 60% pass.
