The English Literature element of the course spans hundreds of years of inspiration, from the English Renaissance of the 16th century right up to the present day. So whether you love Elizabethan drama or twenty-first-century poetry, the Victorian period or Modernist writing, you’ll be able to indulge your tastes and gain some new interests. Your choices on the History side of your degree are equally wide ranging. We’ll cover the cultural, social, historical and political dimensions of key events and eras that have had a huge impact on today’s civilisation. Along the way you’ll be able to study conflicts, empires, disasters and more, from the medieval period right through to contemporary society.

PSW Opportunity
- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
BBB at A Level including a minimum grade B in any form of English, History or a related subject.
120 UCAS tariff points from a combination of Level 3 qualifications including a minimum grade B at A Level in any form of English, History or a related subject.
DDM in BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma
Pass Access to Higher Education Diploma with 45 Level 3 credits at Merit or above to include modules in any form of English or History
120 UCAS tariff points from International Baccalaureate qualifications including either Higher Level English or Higher Level History at grade 6
?Applications from international students will be considered on an individual basis, and with advice from the University's International Office.
If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.5 overall with no element lower than 6.0, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.
