Film Making BA(Hons)

Tell the stories that matter to you in the format the world wants to see – in the age of digital media no form of narration is more popular, more pertinent, more powerful than film. From major study productions to audiovisual storytelling making use of latest mobile technologies and different media platforms, our degree in Film Making is aimed at students with the creative vision and artistic drive to change how we see and imagine the world around us through the lens of a camera.

Throughout your time here we will help build your knowledge, skills and capacity to utilise the vast creative opportunities for film making in the era of rapid technological developments. Our philosophy is to educate thinkers, makers and creators who will rise to the challenges of creative industries by building their creative, technical and analytical skills alike: you will learn to choose which stories are important, how to tell them, and how to operate the technologies to do so.

PSW Opportunity

  • 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
  • 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

BBC at A Level .

112 UCAS tariff points from a combination of Level 3 qualifications.

DMM in BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma.

Access to Higher Education Diploma with 45 Level 3 credits at Merit or above.
112 UCAS tariff points from International Baccalaureate qualifications.
If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.
