Master of Nursing
The goal of the MN program at the University of New Brunswick is to prepare nurses for advanced professional roles through course work, as well as meaningful engagement with partners/stakeholders.
The MN program is designed to equip students with an integrative knowledge of nursing leadership, research, theory, and practice. Students are encouraged to design, with an academic advisor, a program of study that will enable them to assume advanced professional roles in their area of specific interest.

UNB Fredericton
Fredericton is the original campus of UNB, dating to 1785, and one of the most beautiful campuses in the country with its red brick, ivy-covered Georgian architecture and lush landscape. UNB Saint John
The Saint John campus is located in the province’s largest city and commercial centre. Saint John offers vibrant arts and entertainment community and a historic harbour-front of lively sidewalk cafés, restaurants and shopping. Situated on the Bay of Fundy, Saint John features rugged coastal landscapes intertwined with forests and wetlands.

If your program was less than 8 months
- You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.
If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years
- We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.
For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.
If your program was 2 years or more
- We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.
If you completed more than 1 program
- You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.
Each of the programs you completed -
- must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length

- Undergraduate degree from a recognized university with a B average or minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 out of 4.3
