Psychology MS
Our Master’s program is designed to build your skills in the core areas of psychological science. It is a 36 credit-hour program that you can complete in two years (four semesters). You will take required courses face to face on the Warrensburg campus during weekday evenings. Choose from a variety of courses for six hours of electives. All students complete a thesis, which is the capstone of the program and sets it apart from many non-thesis Master’s programs.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
To apply for admission to a master’s degree program at UCM you must have a bachelor’s degree. To apply to an Education Specialist’s degree program you must have a master’s degree. Prerequisite degrees must be from institutions accredited by agencies recognized by the University of Central Missouri. If you have graduate coursework you must have a graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher to be admitted to a graduate program.
Department Admission Requirements
Some graduate programs at UCM require standardized tests, such as the GRE or GMAT, and some require a minimum GPA, letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose and/or other materials. To learn more about requirements for your specific program, please review the Graduate Catalog. For specific program questions, please contact the designated graduate coordinator for your area of study.
Demonstration of English Proficiency
Proficiency may be demonstrated by one of the following:
a. TOEFL exam score of 79 IBT*
b. IELTS exam score of 6.0*
If you do not meet this requirement, you may participate in our Intensive English Program to Master's track.
*UCM does not currently accept the at-home version of the IELTS or TOEFL exam.
