Master of Manufacturing Engineering

Designed and delivered in consultation with industry leaders, our Master's equips you to meet contemporary manufacturing challenges using revolutionary technologies like artificial intelligence, robotics and machine learning. You'll gain proficiency in system design, materials processing and sustainable engineering while enhancing your employability with enterprise skills in consultation, negotiation, risk and project management. Melbourne Campus

PSW Opportunity

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

  • Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
  • Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
  • Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
  • The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

  • Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
  • Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
  • Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
  • PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

240 credit point pathway

  • Successful completion of a non-accredited 4-year bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or related discipline. OR
  • Successful completion of a Sydney Accord-accredited 3-year Bachelor of Technology in manufacturing engineering or related discipline. OR
  • Applicants with non-cognate engineering qualifications who also have practical industry experience in manufacturing engineering will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the Engineering Department. AND
  • Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
  • Eligibility to be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the Department of Engineering.

120 credit point pathway

  • Successful completion of an Australian or a Washington Accord-accredited 4-year Bachelor or Bachelor (Honours) degree in manufacturing engineering. OR
  • Applicants with non-cognate Washington accord engineering qualifications who also have practical industry experience in manufacturing engineering or related field will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the Department of Engineering. AND
  • Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
  • Eligibility to be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the Department of Engineering.
