Civil Engineering

The department of civil and environmental engineering is educating internationally approved civil engineers with the largest training facilities in the universities and teaching new curriculums matching the accreditation of engineering education. For that, practical hands-on training through lab experiments and field trips is taking place and the students are educated to be able to practically design on four subdivision of the major(Structural engineering, Repair and Environmental engineering, Geotechnical engineering, Surveying and GIS majors). In addition, the educational program was significantly innovated so to strengthen the English and computer training and educate professional civil engineers with international competitiveness.
Since the establishment of the department in 1975, over 3000 graduated till 2010 and they have contributed greatly to the land development of the country and the civil engineering technology working in several domestic and international construction sites, academia, research institutes, design and engineering firms, public enterprises and government.
