Architecture

Dept. of Architecture has old history for 40 years and those who came from our department are important in construction world. We firstly acquired International Architectural Accreditation System in 2006. Anyone who get lessons under that standard is able to obtain good posts in the architectural world. As one of the innovative pioneers in Korea, started back in 2002, College of Architecture at Myongji University's Bachelor’s Degree Program has been transformed into a 5 year Bachelor's Degree Program in order to meet the reputed global standard of accredited architecture programs. The college offers Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. courses. It is more developing with many professors and new drawing studios. Now about 40 studios are operated and graduating students are coming out from 2006. Only for College of Architecture is equipped with library in 2003 and Print room is prepared in 2004. Most of all, 5 floor drawing building is so constructed in 2005 that we can have more comfortable and good educational space with scale of 3,012 ?. Educational Programs, such as a design workshop to develop international sense is held in Venice, Rome, and New York during the vacation. More and more programs even in Asia will be given to undergraduate students. To cultivate new market of construction, we also are progressing specialized programs. From 2009 concept of total design relevant to space, arts and interior has influenced on us. So majors of Space Design and Traditional Architecture came out. Our college already has strong foundations in Korean architectural history and things.
