Master in Fashion Brand Management
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The change factors which characterise the fashion and luxury sectors are in constant growth. From this stems both the interest in analysing the complex systems that form part of the fashion industry, and the necessity to understand the critical commercial variables which contribute to the evolution of consumption and the relationship between client and brand.
The brand manager operating in these sectors is an expert who responds to the following modern demands for analysis and action. Brand managers deal with the development and positioning of a brand; the management of a collection in terms of content, trend, taste, price range, and sales and distribution policy; product management, with particular attention paid to the analysis of competitors and market evolution; combining trends and aesthetic-stylistic evolutions, and business and market interests. These professionals collaborate with the production area and with sales; they have direct contact with clients: both current and potential; and they promote the brand philosophy based on strategic and operational marketing. Brand Managers follow the entire process of development and sales for products associated with the brand, handling the style, product quality, image, and the quality of advertising campaigns in order to guarantee the success or repositioning of the brand. The cross-cutting skills possessed by these experts allow them to move between a wide range of sectors and roles, from marketing to branding, licensing to distribution or retail.
