At UNB you will enjoy learning from expert Computer Scientists in a long-standing program; the Faculty of Computer Science (FCS) at the UNB’s Fredericton Campus was the first computer science faculty in Canada. Our students enjoy working and collaborating with top faculty who are nationally and internationally renowned in their field. Our recent graduates have gone on to work at companies such as IBM, Ciena, Alcatel-Lucent and Ernst & Young, as well as to careers in academia. We are now offering a new graduate program MACSec (Master's of Applied Cybersecurity).

UNB Fredericton
Fredericton is the original campus of UNB, dating to 1785, and one of the most beautiful campuses in the country with its red brick, ivy-covered Georgian architecture and lush landscape. UNB Saint John
The Saint John campus is located in the province’s largest city and commercial centre. Saint John offers vibrant arts and entertainment community and a historic harbour-front of lively sidewalk cafés, restaurants and shopping. Situated on the Bay of Fundy, Saint John features rugged coastal landscapes intertwined with forests and wetlands.

- You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.
If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years
- We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.
For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.
If your program was 2 years or more
- We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.
If you completed more than 1 program
- You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.
Each of the programs you completed -
- must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length
